Boon Swan Foo (Chairman Emeritus)

Mr Boon Swan Foo (left) is Executive Chairman of Exploit Technologies Pte Ltd, the strategic marketing and commercialisation arm of Singapore's Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR)

Mr Boon has held various high-level roles in both the public and private sectors, including the positions of Managing Director of A*STAR and Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive of Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd, where he was awarded the Singapore Business Award for Outstanding CEO in 2000.

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd runs an Aerospace subsidiary, known as ST Aerospace, which is the world’s leading third party aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) specialist. With operations established in key aviation hubs in the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe, ST Aerospace is one of two MRO providers in the world with a global network. Mr Boon served a term as its President. Mr Boon is also the Deputy Chairman of OrangeStar Investment Holdings Pte Ltd, under which Jetstar and Valuair, the two budget airlines in Singapore, are held by Qantas and Temasek.

Mr Boon’s vast experience in the aerospace industry is further augmented with him serving as the Chairman of Singapore Changi Airport Enterprise Pte Ltd and Chairman of Changi Airport Managers & Partners (S) Pte Ltd. Additionally, Mr Boon currently serves on the boards of Neptune Orient Lines Limited (NOL), Singapore Computer Systems Limited, Shin Corporation Plc, and several other private limited companies. He is also a Senior Advisor of Temasek Holdings, as well as Advisor of ST Engineering Ltd. Mr Boon is a Member of Motorola Inc Research Visionary Board, a Member of the Commercialisation Advisory Board, Imperial College (UK) and was previously a Member of the Dean’s Council of Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.

 

Frankie Tan

Frankie has a fourteen-year career in technology and venture capital, and is Managing Founder of Innovation Ventures.

He currently serves as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence in Exploit Technologies and is their nominee director on the boards of Commontown Pte Ltd, BLC Solutions Pte Ltd and D-SIMLAB Technologies Pte Ltd. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Division of Engineering and Technology Management, NUS Faculty of Engineering, and is as well leading commercialization efforts of local start-up company, NiuTree Technologies Pte Ltd.

Previously, he was Senior Vice President at Vertex Management, a Singapore-based international venture capital company where he was responsible for Europe-based investment activities. Prior to Vertex, Frankie held various positions in sales, marketing and business development in Singapore Technologies (Marine). He started his working career with the Republic of Singapore Navy as a marine engineer.

Frankie is a Singaporean and holds Master of Science degrees in Financial Management (with Distinction) from the University of London, United Kingdom and in Strategic Management (Dean’s Honours List) from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is also a graduate of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants in the United Kingdom, and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore.

 

Dr. Peter Lendermann

Peter Lendermann has been involved in decision-support for logistics and advanced simulation technology for 15 years and is a recognized authority in the field. As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), he is the scientific thought leader and is responsible for strategy and business development at D-SIMLAB.

Peter has been engaged in the simulation community since the early 1990’s when he worked in multinational research collaboration at the European Laboratory for Particle Physics CERN (Geneva, Switzerland) and Nagoya University (Japan). In 1996 he joined a German consulting firm where he was responsible for business process re-engineering projects with numerous process manufacturing, aviation and automotive clients in Europe, Canada and China. Since 2000 he led the simulation-related research activities at the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology until spinning them off into D-SIMLAB Technologies in 2006.

Peter holds a PhD in Applied High-Energy Physics from Humboldt-University in Berlin (Germany) and an MBA in International Economics and Management from SDA Bocconi in Milan (Italy).

 

Gan Boon Ping

Gan Boon Ping, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), has been involved in simulation technology application and development since 1995.

In 1998 Boon Ping joined the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology where he led a multi-year research project funded by National Science and Technology Board (now known as A*STAR). The project was to develop and apply parallel and distributed simulation technology for complex systems such as semiconductor manufacturing and port operations. The result of the project is now the core engine of D-SIMLAB Technologies' products. He was also responsbile for several operations improvement projects with wafer fabrication clients which concluded with multi-million dollar savings. He is now responsible for managing the technology and product development at D-SIMLAB as well as execution of projects in the semiconductor and engineering domains.

Boon Ping holds a Master of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Engineering (major in Computer Science) from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.

 

Dr. Nirupam Julka

Nirupam Julka, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Vice President Aerospace, has been working in the field of supply chain simulation since 1999.

In 2001 Nirupam joined the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech) where he executed simulation-based projects with multinational companies as well as in collaboration with academia. Since 2004 he has also been managing the development of products for aerospace asset management while at SIMTech. In his present capacity as VP Aerospace at D-SIMLAB he is responsible for the execution of all customer engagements in the aerospace domain as well as marketing and product management of D-SIMLAB Aerospace products.

Nirupam holds an Engineering Doctorate (cum MBA) in Manufacturing Systems from Cranfield University, UK, a Master of Engineering from National University of Singapore and a Bachelor of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
